4/4 cello by Nicolas Couturieux, French 1835

Made in 1835, this very fine and rare cello by Nicolas Couturieux in the style of Bernardel and features a deep, rich and very resonant sound. This is a beautiful example of this maker’s best work and has been finished with deep red varnish on a yellow ground.
