Rowan Armour-Brown Memorial Cello Sale
Monday, 26 January 2015 00:00

RAB cello

Stringers in London are thrilled to announce the sale of a cello on behalf of the Rowan Armour-Brown Memorial Trust. The cello is a culmination of work by Brian Laurence, Kai-Thomas Roth and makers from the celebrated Newark School of Violin Making.

The cello was sold in January 2015 to a talented young cellist from Australia, who provided us with the following comments:

'I really like the overall warmth of the cello. It is unlike other cellos that I have played in that its sound fills the room with ease. The lower strings have a strong and deep tone that I love and I believe suits and betters my characteristics as a cellist."

Proceeds from the cello have been donated to the RAB Trust in aid of aspiring luthiers in Britain.
