Cello by John Morrison, c.1810, London
John Morrison (1760 - 1827) was a pupil of Forster and made instruments for various London dealers. His cellos are highly sought after, being of good size and value.
This fine example in superb condition, features a very resonant sound with good projection, bright on lower strings and clear on upper register.
This instrument is for sale at Stringers of Edinburgh for £60,000.
