Ian Byrne Brito
Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, Ian has developed a successful international performing career and has won several prestigious awards and scholarships. Ian joined Stringers as a Violin & Viola Specialist in 2013 He was appointed Manager at Stringers London in 2015.
Cecily graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She has toured internationally as an orchestral player and worked as a string teacher in Sydney, Hong Kong and London. Cecily joined Stringers as Violin & Viola Specialist in 2011. She was appointed Manager at Stringers London in 2015.
Jennifer Falconer Hall
Jennifer gained her Bachelor degree with Honours and her Masters degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During her studies Jennifer performed with the RSNO, the SO and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. Jennifer joined Stringers in September 2017.
Violin & Viola Specialist
Georgia studied viola at the Royal Academy of Music in London, under the tutelage of James Sleigh. She subsequently worked in orchestral administration for Oxford Philomusica. Georgia joined Stringers as Violin & Viola Specialist in December 2014.
Ester Garcia Adame
Violin & Viola Specialist / Workshop Co-Ordinator
Ester studied violin and musicology at the RCSM in Madrid, after which she developed her career as a violin teacher. She joined Stringers within the violin and viola department in 2015. She was appointed Workshop Co-Ordinator in 2017.
Violin & Viola Specialist
Marisol graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Music. She has toured with the KCLSO and in school she studied violin and viola with the Carducci quartet. Marisol joined the violin & viola department at Stringers London in 2017.
Helen read music at Durham University, after which she gained her PGCE. Helen holds a Licentiate Performance Diploma and Associate Performance Diploma on cello. She joined Stringers within the cello department in 2016.
Alina graduated as a Violin Teacher from the North Karelia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, after studying a vocational qualification in orchestral playing at the Joensuu Conservatoire. She completed her Masters in Violin Performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Alina joined Stringers in January 2018.
Colin graduated from the Newark School of Violin Making with Distinction in 1989. Since then, he has developed a successful career as a maker and restorer of fine instruments. Colin joined the workshop of Stringers London in 2013.
John won ‘Young Engineer for Great Britain’ in 1979, and later gained a degree in mechanical engineering. He went on to study as a Luthier in London and the USA, subsequently working at Hamilton Caswell Violins in Bristol. John joined the workshop of Stringers London in 2017.
Antoni studied at the Newark School of Violin Making. As an apprentice he worked at the workshops of Roger Hargrave, Stepan Soultanian and the Vettori family. He has also worked with Dextra Musica, the Fondazione Stradivari and Museo Civico. Antoni joined the workshop of Stringers London in 2017.
Piotr graduated from the Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland, with a Masters degree in instrument making in 2014. He then worked for four years in Rome and in Switzerland for Atelier Claude Lebet as a violin maker and restorer. Piotr joined the workshop of Stringers London in February 2018.
Senior Bow Restorer
Juliane studied at the bow making school in Cremona, after which she worked alongside Emilio Slaviero making and restoring bows. Juliane subsequently taught at the Cremona bow making school from 1996-2009. She was appointed Senior Bow Restorer at Stringers London in 2010.
On graduating from the Newark School of Violin Making, Florian Bailly started his bow making career as the apprentice of Noel Burke. Florian has developed his own style and successful model. Florian joined the workshop of Stringers London in 2017.
