Whether you are just starting out or are a seasoned performer, we aim to deliver quality products combined with friendly and professional service. We keep an extensive range of violins, violas and cellos along with all the accessories that a string player might need, from shoulder rests, to strings, rosin and much more. At our shops in Edinburghh and London we have on-site workshops dedicated to repairing and restoring instruments, with a team of experienced luthiers and restorers.
All members of Stringers staff are proficient string players always on hand to provide assistance and support to students, parents, teachers and adult learners.
OUR HISTORY
Stringers of Edinburgh was founded by professional cellist Maureen Stringer-Morrison in 1992, with the goal of becoming a centre of excellence for violinists, violists and cellists from beginner to professional, and a pleasant relaxed environment for players.
Today, along with Stringers of Edinburgh, we also operate as stringersmusic.com, with one of the widest and most carefully curated product ranges available - including our own much acclaimed line of instruments and outfits - and thousands of loyal customers.
