Stringers Workshop
Our workshop in Edinburgh is led by experienced and highly skilled luthiers and restorers. We fit strings purchased from Stringers free of charge and offer high quality repairs at competitive rates, including:
- Replacement Bridge & Soundpost - 3 levels available
- Pegbox bushing and peg fitting
- Crack repair and reinforcement
- Cleaning & Polishing
- Glueing of open seams and purfling
- Touching-in of varnish
- Neck resetting where necessary
- Replacement fittings
We offer a free, no-obligation assessment service for repairs and restorations. Once we have assessed your instrument we will contact you within 48 hours with our recommendation and estimate. Bow assessments may take longer.

Fittings
We also offer chinrest and shoulder rest fittings with the availability to try several models in shop.
